How You'll Make Your Mark:

HPE is looking for a multimedia journalist to join our Global Communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe supporting corporate, financial, product, executive, employee, and digital communications as well as creative services and commtech, this team is responsible for enhancing HPE's culture and reputation, showcasing our innovation and leadership, and driving business outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end production of written and video content designed to engage, educate, and inspire audiences via social and digital channels. The ideal candidate is a gifted storyteller ready to take their skills to the next level in a cutting-edge, digital newsroom that celebrates creativity, innovation, and fun. Our goal is to deliver award-winning corporate journalism that drives brand, business and societal benefit.  

Responsibilities

-
News Making. Use your sharp, journalistic instincts to create fast/casual content for internal and external social channels developed and distributed at the speed of news. Drive executive thought leadership and engagement with timely, personalized content.

Editorial Planning. Develop a network of internal and external contacts, evaluate leads, pitch stories, and align on content angles and assignments. Research topics and arrange interviews. Determine a story's emphasis, format, and distribution plans.

Content Creation. Bring stories to life through end-to-end production of written and video content. Through virtual meetings and travel to live events, interview subjects, and capture content. Ensure content meets company standards and stakeholder requirements.

Digital Engagement. Develop content with digital first point of view to maximize reach and engagement with priority stakeholders. Publish content to owned social channels. Monitor engagement, analyzes results and continually optimize performance.


About You:

Qualifications

-
College degree in Journalism or related field and/or experience in news reporting via TV, radio, or digital channels.

-
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.

-
End-to-end video creation and editing skills.

-
Superior on-air presence, experience with live shots, and ability to ad lib as needed.

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple projects.

Works well with others and independently, welcomes constructive feedback to refine content, develop professionally, and enhance performance.
