[KITlist-Tech] Full Stack Engineer (San Francisco, California)

We are seeking a full-stack engineer to work from our front-end web applications, through our API, and into our databases. The two areas covered are the lock management and operation system for the August Smart Lock and the e-commerce system we have built to sell it.

The full-stack engineer will work with UX on the front-end applications for purchasing and managing the locks, with the iOS/Android dev team to refine the API to enable a superior user experience, with the embedded development team on interactions with the Smart Lock. This person who fills this position will also have significant dev-ops responsibility.

Responsibilities

- Development, maintenance, and debugging of back-end services supporting APIs
- Deployment of back-end services
- Development and maintenance of front-end applications written in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Monitoring operational services and responding to problems

Requirements

- Strong Javascript skills
- Back-end development experience
- Strong database skills, especially with NoSQL
- Extensive understanding of REST APIs and experience using them

Even Better

- Experience developing rich Web experiences using JQuery, CSS, and complex JavaScript
- Knowledge of MongoDB, Riak, Redis
- Experience developing web applications that provide real-time updates. We are allergic to page refreshes.
- Experience using Socket.io
- Android and/or iOS development experience
