Looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our client in Modesto CA (FTE)

Description:
�The Senior Solutions Architect facilitates and directs the core technology underpinnings that constitute the architecture for a systems solution.
�The Solutions Architect is responsible for the development and presentation of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision through execution into the solution.
�The Solutions Architect becomes involved with a project at the time of inception and is involved in the functional analysis leading to definition of the initial requirements. This function then develops an technical architecture for the solution, garners "buy in" for that architecture and remains involved throughout the balance of the project, helping to ensure that the agreed upon architecture is employed and successful.
�This position is responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs, and designing computer and network systems that allow customers to implement systems for their technology business applications. This involves performing system and network modeling, analysis and planning to implement a solution that will meet business needs within financial budget guidelines. This may include researching software and hardware products or services, and finding best solutions and prices to meet business requirements.
�In most cases, the solutions architect presents and translates the design to Information Technology leadership for solution approval and implementation.

Position Responsibilities:
�Business Planning and Daily Management
�Take ownership of a particular solution offering
�Develop and execute a successful solution strategy to include specific continued solution support.
�Spearhead business need discoveries and solution development in partnership with the IT Application Manager/Director.
�Subject Matter Expertise
�Act as visionary and strategist for technology solution introduction
�Survey business environment for solution insights, direction and value added opportunities.
�Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into solution design and architecture documentation
�Provide training, education and mentor-ship across IT in various way ranging for coordinating vendor presentations, assembling formalized training programs, and also one-one training and mentor-ship.
�Methodology and Quality Assurance
�Lead development of formalized solution methodologies
�Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and best practices. Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
�Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts
�Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within the solution area
�Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area
�Work Force Management, Supervision and Mentoring
�Manages a team of direct reports who drive architecture design, troubleshooting and innovation.
�Mentor and guide more junior technical resources.
�Position Interactions:
�Data Center Management Peers � Providing architectural design leadership and collaboration. Seeks to provide though leadership and compelling ideas that earn �buy in�.
�IT Application Directors/Managers � Partnering with IT Application Directors/Managers to understand issues, needs, concerns, opportunities and constraints and collaboratively derive optimal architectural solutions in conjunction with Data Center Management Peers.
�IT Customers � Gathering and understanding IT Customer needs in partnership with the IT Application Directors/Managers. Presenting back to those customers how architectural options will meet their needs.
�CIO � Collaborative brainstorming and selling of ideas to Senior IT Leadership.
�Senior Management � Participate in presenting and substantiating designs, pros and cons, budgets and timelines.

Required Skills Experience:
�Four-year degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education and/or specialized training.

Knowledge of:
�Technology Enterprise architectures that include multiple hardware and Software environments including complex heterogeneous systems.
�Computer and Network system design.
�Working within project budgets and timelines.

Skills and Abilities:
�Must be skilled in the development and presentation of overall architecture solutions. Proficient in analytical planning and organization/time management skills.
�Must have the ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate for each group. (verbal and written), including the ability to work with people from all departments in the company with varying degrees of computer/technology knowledge.

Work Experience:
�Minimum of five years related experience in designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
�Experience required in a multi-discipline project and troubleshooting environment.
�Other: This position may require working nights and weekends depending on the project.
