Job Description:
Our client is one of the leading suppliers of medical imaging equipment. They are growing, and thus looking to add some new and stellar talent to their teams. The Embedded Software Engineer will work on the design and development of embedded firmware and PC software for medical imaging products. This position requires a strong technical background in embedded and PC application software systems in an FDA regulated software development process environment.

Specific duties include:

System analysis and architecture design
Design of Firmware and PC Software for modern imaging products.
Writing and debugging PC Software applications and Firmware
Multithreaded platform code migration
Dedicated hardware drivers development
Analyzing signals and electronics. Resolving electronics issues.
Overseeing board layout and prototyping.
Create and update design documentation required for compliance with FDA regulations


Required Skills:
B.S degree is required, MS preferred. Preference for a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer is required
System design experience in Embedded Firmware development.
Designer-level experience in Embedded and PC application software development using C++/C#
Event driven UI programming using C#, XAML/WPF and WinForms under MS Visual Studio
Multi-processing and/or multi-threaded software systems design and development
Driver development Windows
Hands on experience in communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet,etc.
Flash memory file systems and interfaces
Development of Embedded network servers/services and server monitoring tools (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, custom protocols)
Multicore debugging and software development (SMP, AMP, MPCore)
Extensive experience with source code control software (CVS, SCM, SVN, Perforce)
Experience in using oscilloscope and multi-meters.
Prior successful multiplatform programming in a Microsoft/Linux/Solaris environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Demonstrated success using Windows debuggers.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of FDA regulations, procedures, processes, policies is desirable.
Medical Imaging device design experience (XRay, Ultrasound, MRI etc.) is a Plus.
