We've been helping our client develop their engineering team since 2006. With corporate HQ in Silicon Valley, they are a growing medical imaging technology company with US based manufacturing.
We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop embedded microcontroller code, firmware and high-level code for LCD video controller chips and embedded Linux. Must have industry experience in C/C++ programming and be capable of developing algorithms and test cases in accordance with specifications and product architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing firmware, algorithms, and applications/utilities for video products
- Bringing-up code/systems in lab
- Writing engineering documentation such as specifications, test-procedures, product release notes, etc
- Maintaining source code and release files for production
- Driving process improvement
Required Experience
- BSCS or EE
- 5+ years of full time C/C++ firmware development experience
- Strong knowledge of video standards/specs (NTSC, PAL, SDI, LVDS, TMDS)
- Efficient code-management skills in C/C++ and Assembly
- Linux development of applications, drivers and kernel modifications
- I2C, RS-232, TCP/IP, HTTP
- Working knowledge of source control management systems
- Bring-up experience in lab environment
- Engineering level documentation experience
Desired Experience
- Experience with LCD Display development
- Strong knowledge of video standards/specs (NTSC, PAL, SDI, LVDS, TMDS)
- Efficient code-management skills in C/C++ and Assembly
- Knowledge of GUI design and implementation is desired
