CPU Architect:
1 at Ph.D + 4 years
1 at M.S. + 6+ years
We are seeking a CPU Architect for CPU performance analysis and coding of the CPU architecture reference model.
Responsibilities:
• Work with other architects on performance tuning, identifying specific issues, developing action plans, executing those plans, and writing concise, insightful, and actionable reports of issues detected.
• Work collaboratively with the CPU design team on micro-architecture decisions, and be the "go-to" person for reporting to management on these decisions and their rationales.
Requirements:
• Hands-on CPU/Memory subsystem performance analysis experience.
• Understanding of ARM architecture and architectural modeling.
• Hands-on experience with benchmark regression.
• Hands-on experience with workload analysis.
• Hands-on experience in CPU architecture, micro-architecture, or instruction-set simulator design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required; additional communication skills in Chinese languages would be a plus.
• Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter, who works well independently as well as in a team environment.

Qualifications:
• Ph.D. from a university known for excellence in CPU design, plus 4 or more years hands-on industry experience in CPU design.
• MSEE/EC required, plus five or more years directly relevant experience in CPU architecture. Only CPU architecture can be considered (not ASIC, FPGA, or any other kind of chip design experience; only CPU experience.
