The ideal candidate will have experience working in a software engineering capacity with a passion for applying technology to help solve real business problems as they happen. Candidates should be comfortable working with loosely defined requirements and have a strong desire to work on Business Intelligence applications.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the company-wide reporting application platform including the web, application, and data tiers.
• Fully responsible for establishing ETL processes and data integrations to pull data into the reporting platform on a regular basis
• Point of contact for department leaders to identify and extract the necessary data to build reports and generate information and insights for key business decisions
• Tune and optimize extract and query processes to deliver rapid results to end users.
• Investigate, explain and address data discrepancies
• Work with team members to plan and execute weekly sprints.
• Develop and improve advanced reports for end users.
• Identify best practices and areas for improvement and drive those initiatives within the team.
• Analyze process engineering data to recommended business solutions, fix reporting issues, produce better reporting data, and ultimately build reports to generate desired information to analyze
Qualifications:
• B.S. or higher from a top tier school with a degree in a science, technology, engineering or math discipline
• 4+ years of experience in a software development position
• Experience designing, querying and optimizing relational databases, ideally Microsoft SQL
• Experience working with a system at scale
• Experienced with multiple software development and scripting languages Python experience is a plus, especially if familiar with the Django framework and pandas libraries
• A passion for interactive UIs and HTML5 is a plus
• Experience implementing dynamic UIs and working with D3 / NVD3 Is a major plus
• Experience managing ETL and batch processes is a plus
• Experience with report development, analytics and data frames is a plus
• Ability to handle fast paced, high urgency reporting needs and perform well under demanding situations.
• Ability to learn quickly, think critically, have a great attitude and hunger to learn
• Must be a great team player and focused on customer service and experience
• Driven and focused. Self-starter. Able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background search
