Welcome to Fuel…

A team of integrated marketing specialists, with big aspirations and a serious 'can do' attitude that's won us an enviable customer base both sides of the Atlantic.

We're looking for a developer (and general digital ninja)…Come join us?

Role Description

Developer

A brief overview…

Working as an important member of our studio team and collaborating closely with both the Creative Director and the digital team, you'll play a leading role in helping us deliver class-leading integrated marketing campaigns for clients in the UK and throughout Europe and the US.

Day to day you'll work with the team to develop innovative client marketing and communication solutions; ensuring expectations are managed and projects delivered seamlessly, on brief and on time.

With previous experience in similar agency roles, you'll be a driven, motivated, self-starter who can spot opportunities and make suggestions. You'll be passionate and you'll be expected to play your role in leading and working as part of a proactive, motivated team, delivering communications across a wide range of digital media channels.

We're the kind of company that's always trying to push the boundaries; whether they be the clients expectations or what's technically feasible. So you'll need to bring not just awesome technical skills but also the confidence and ability to explain those to clients and colleagues, helping to bring them along for the journey too.

A bit more detail…

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

• Using your knowledge to develop front-end projects in HTML, CSS and JavaScript from scratch and without the aid of "website builders" or WYSIWYG tools.

• Using JavaScript (and frameworks such as jQuery, Underscore, Angular, etc.) to add interactivity and extend capabilities of a traditional webpage.

• Using a GIT-Flow workflow for the sharing and tracking of code development.

• Using Adobe Photoshop for generating assets from supplied designs, or general small design tasks.

• Having a good working understanding of Mac OS X.

• Working with the team to help develop proposals and scope out projects both technically and in terms or resource required.

• Ensuring we deliver projects, on time and on budget.

It'd also be great if you had some experience of:

• Creating and editing PHP applications.

• Managing, building and interacting with basic MySQL databases.

• Running a Linux server.

And finally, working with the team, we're also looking for somebody who can:

• Develop an understanding of evolving and emerging software, technologies and methods. As well as feeding those learning's back into the team to help support developing our offering and positioning.

• Be an integral part of our close-knit team, have fun, listen to country music and wear a checked shirt on Friday's, occasionally bake something, partake in random Nerf battles, brainstorming sessions and the occasional company away day…

Overall…

This role will develop to challenge and stretch your abilities.

Your success will be determined by your skills, appetite for learning and development, passion for idea generation and great creative, professional attitude and just as importantly, your ability to share, collaborate and be an enlightened member of a small, driven and cohesive creative team.

If you this is you, get in touch - A competitive salary and opportunities for learning, development and career progression rarely seen in our region await the successful applicant.
