Equity Search Partners has been retained to find an outstanding Principal Software Engineer/Architect for an innovative, VC-backed mHealth startup in Palo Alto (right near Caltrain). Our client has developed a unique mobile and SaaS-based unified platform for diabetes management that improves outcomes and reduces costs for the three key entities in the battle against diabetes: patients with diabetes, the health system providers managing their care, and the insurance company payers reimbursing providers for the cost of services delivered to the patients.
Our client seeks a rock star Principal Software Engineer/Architect to play a lead role in designing and developing scalable applications working with a team of engineers as the company rapidly expands its customer and user base. This is a tremendous opportunity to be instrumental in the success of an exciting mHealth startup really making a profound difference in the world. This position reports to the VP of Product Development.
Primary responsibilities include leading the definition, design, improvement, and implementation of the server and mobile architecture to support the continued requirements for back-end and front-end scalability and developing a deep understanding of the company's current architecture and infrastructure in order to continually drive improvement into the design and architecture of the technical stack. We are looking for a natural leader to "own" the architecture and lead with a "mobile" mindset as you work with and influence developers to understand and implement your architectural vision.
