TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE EXEMPLARY WEB/ONLINE, MOBILE DESIGN, AND E-COMMERCE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE, AND YOU POSSESS AN IMPRESSIVE ONLINE PORTFOLIO.
Position Summary
In this role, you will design and develop market leading, robust user experiences for global and well-renowned brands by leveraging web/online, mobile, digital signage, kiosk, and other client/user focused mediums.
Location / Travel
You will primarily be located at Tillster's Century City (Los Angeles) office with effective onsite and virtual interaction with the teams in the San Diego, CA; Alpharetta, GA; and, other regional business operations center. You will be required to travel within the US and possibly internationally based on business needs and demands.
Ideal Candidate
• Solid understanding and experience with UI and UX design principles
• Strong visual design and image-making skills
• Proven ability to articulate and communicate concepts and ideas; ability to lead brainstorming and concept sessions
• Wireframing and demonstrated understanding and expertise of UI/UX required
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Axure or other wireframing software required
• Expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other benchmark design applications
• A willingness to learn and apply new thinking in technology, interaction design and e-commerce
• Ability to effectively work in a fast paced, changing environment that requires maniacal attention to detail for the duration of all projects and assignments
• Strong typography skills a must
• A hands-on designer – pick up work will be needed for a multitude of projects
• Demonstrated willingness to work on production aspects to a fully realized design
• 7+ years designing consumer-facing user interfaces that are marketing driven
• Team player that has worked closely with multi-disciplinary departments within the digital space
• Proven experience providing guidance to designers, production artists and writers
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously within demanding deadlines
• Experience with Adobe After Effects a huge plus
• Working knowledge of the technical aspects of photography a huge plus
• 4+ years education; BFA preferred
• An online portfolio exhibiting your UI/UX work (please provide URL)
Responsibilities
• Balance strategic development with business/client objectives
• Communicate internally and externally, with accuracy and clarity the scope of design and copy to ensure deliverables are met
• Ensure quality assurance of creative deliverables
• Create and communicate concepts from inception to completion
• Provide guidance to the design team and copywriters
• Implement client and internal branding
• Balance creative thinking with interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to be a strong team leader and mentor to senior and junior level designers and copywriters
• Multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced, multi-platform environment
• Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department
• Partner closely with the Creative Director, Project Managers and others as required or directed
• Other duties as required or directed
