The.NET Developer fills a key role in the IT team providing operational support of our core .Net applications. The incumbent will perform analysis of PPS applications/processes and make recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency and coordination with Development and Operational team members. The Developer should be able to support multiple applications / projects in production and systems development environment.

The incumbent is responsible for operational execution and will participate in design, develop implementation, and management of multiple projects. This individual provides technical direction to IT staff in the development and implementation of systems or in problem solving. Collaborates and partners with development and business teams to develop, support and operate web applications. The developer must have knowledge and experience in complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs Systems Analysis/Database Design/Programming and Training

• Performs a variety of complex programming tasks, such as designing, documenting, and coding program logic for internal web applications and relational databases.

• Provides operational support for many complex applications, database servers and databases.

• Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support for end users and Departmental staff.

• Acts as technical liaison between business partners and Information Technology.

• Provides application support and enhancements to existing applications. Defines system requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives. Coordinates the efforts of staff to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain computer software systems.

• In addition to all accountabilities of the .NET Developer position, assumes greater leadership role, utilizing broader knowledge and high-level technical skills.

• Assists in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of applications.

• Continues to develop professional skills in the information systems and health care fields through trade magazines, manuals, seminars, and courses.

• The .Net developer should be able to develop and maintain WCF services.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proven ability to understand business processes and synthesize business requirements into technical deliveries.

• Ability to develop and update technical and systems documentation.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks. Some independent judgment required in setting priorities of tasks among multiple assigned projects.

• Ability to communicate, motivate, and organize projects among a broad spectrum of personnel throughout the network, frequently under deadline pressure.

• Knowledge of information systems, including some familiarity with financial /business applications, clinical applications, managed care applications.

• Ability to interface with a variety of business stakeholders and effectively navigate competing priorities.

• Ability to determine when to advise IT leadership of potential areas needing resolution in advance of issue escalation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor���s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum of five years' IT experience in logical, analytical and rigorous problem solving approach-using .Net Technologies required with project management or leadership responsibilities.

Deep expertise in .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, WCF, MVC, SQL, Windows Forms, Web Services, Entity Framework, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS required.

Background with architecture concepts (integration styles, architecture styles, design patterns).

Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, Jquery, AJAX, Crystal Reports, Telerik and Web technology frameworks

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work time will be spent sitting approximately 80% of the time, standing and walking approximately 20% of work time. PC keyboarding will constitute approximately 60-80% of work time.
