Position Responsibilities:
Be a part of The Xangati Difference! Xangati is seeking a skilled Technical Marketing Engineer.
The Technical Marketing Engineer will be the primary product-technology resource within the Xangati Marketing team. You will be responsible for driving and reinforcing our technical value proposition, building technical sales collateral and tools, managing our demonstration center, creating competitive assessments, and presenting the product at customer visits and key industry events. You will be responsible for developing demonstration use cases, reference architectures and solution briefs that highlight Xangati's value.
Essential Job Functions:
• Be the subject matter expert on application-aware infrastructure performance intelligence and Xangati's solutions.
• Develop demonstrations, use cases and other technical sales enablement tools.
• Enhance and manage Xangati's technical demonstration center.
• Build a competitive assessment capability within Xangati, track and analyze growing groups of competitors, and deliver strong competitive analysis and effective tools.
• Describe and document technical solutions for customers, sales, and partners.
• Create technical material highlighting Xangati's value propositions, including white papers, solution briefs, and technical architectures and notes.
• Participate and support customer visits and industry events.
• Be the technical interface between marketing to sales and its product ecosystem and indirect GTM channel partners.
• Provide technical marketing expertise, advice and best practices to Xangati management.
• 25% travel.
Desired Experience and Skills/Education:
• BS in computer science/technical field. Technical certifications a plus.
• Minimum 7-10 years of IT operations and management software experience.
• Proven domain experience with application, virtualization and performance, and capacity management solutions.
• Strong experience in technical marketing or sales engineering with enterprise software products.
• Xangati product experience (or equivalent product experience) is desirable.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; highly effective presentation skills.
• Prior experience in technical product marketing, technical field enablement, product management, sales engineering, or professional services.
• Experience presenting technical material to large audiences.
• Hands on experience with software installation/configuration/usage.
• Experience in creating technical material such as whitepapers, best practices guides, videos, presentations, training, etc.
• Ability to work across organizational lines, and influence cross-functional teams.
• Understand server virtualization technology, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, and client virtualization technology, such as VMware View and Citrix XenDesktop and application delivery controllers, such as Citrix, F5, and Riverbed.
