Technical Project Coordinator for the Consulting Services Practice

Our client has been San Francisco's premier IT Consulting and Managed Services company for over 30 years. They design, implement, and maintain solutions leveraging Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Citrix, and Hosted services for a number of dynamic and exciting small to mid-size businesses in a range of verticals, throughout the greater Bay Area.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively work with a wide range of personalities, businesses and varying technologies. Key traits include effective communications skills, time management, a developed project management process, and a high-level perspective when faced with challenges.This is designed to be a growth position in an environment where upward mobility is a core focus. If you've managed client projects on your own or with a small team previously, then this is an opportunity for you to coordinate a team of talented Engineers in a process-driven environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensuring the quality delivery of client projects, while prioritizing the 3 core facets of Project Management.

Providing direct support to the Sales Team, in qualifying potential engagements, and providing labor and hard goods cost estimates.

"Gatekeeper" to the Consulting Services Practice, working with the CSP Team Manager to provide final approval and edits for client proposals and work authorization forms.

Work directly with CSP Engineers to assign resources to projects and coordinate high-level project scheduling.

Dynamically schedule CSP resources on a daily basis to maximize implementation efficiency while meeting and exceeding billable objectives.

Author client work authorization forms associated with engagements when requested, including deliverables and hardware, software, and labor figures.

Communicate actively with client project sponsor, providing project status updates, including scope "shift," Change orders, and coordinating down time.

Leverage the firm's established line of business application and work flow automation tools for the administration of active engagements and resource management.

Chair weekly "Project Team Update" meetings centered around reviewing the status, ownership, and forthcoming deliverables associated with active projects.

Leverage business automation tools to monitor project labor metrics.

Work within a team of IT support professionals including other Junior/Senior level Engineers, IT Consultants, Account Managers and Operations staff to provide enterprise class IT solutions and customer service.

Adherence to established hardware, software, and hosted services solutions, providing recommendations for the research and testing of new solutions, factoring in stability, ease of deployment/management, and cost.

Provide *thought leadership* and suggestions in the areas of process and efficiency improvement.

Position Requirements:

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE A MUST! Previous work experience within a Managed Services or Consulting firm is not a core requirement, but is considered a pre-requisite for success in this role.

Ability to maintain focus and prioritize tasks under constrained circumstances.

Ability to escalate and effectively communicate with the team Manager when faced with decision points.

Previous Engineering or Project Management experience with the firm's established Solution set (including Microsoft, VMWare, and Cisco, among many others) is desired.

Ability to manage multiple vendors when procuring hardware, software, and hosted solutions.

This position is based in the corporate office in downtown San Francisco and our clients are located in San Francisco, the East Bay, Peninsula, South Bay, and Marin. The Technical Project Coordinator will largely be based in the corporate office.
