We are looking for a talented and experienced Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing company. If you have the engineering and quality background we´re looking for then we are interested in talking with you.
Responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of Meru quality strategy and plans, in support of continual improvement of supplier quality, product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Development of quality roadmap for Meru Networks, providing schedule and objectives related to continual measurable quality improvement.
• Design and implementation of quality metrics and reporting structure for measuring improvements in quality and detecting trends in quality. Quality reporting on field reliability, quality and performance.
• Managing the output of the Meru supply chain through a comprehensive supplier quality program. Design and implementation of supplier quality metrics
• Design and implementation of Operations Quality systems, the elements of which include Design and Development, Order Fulfillment, Materials, Non Conformance, and other elements of world class quality system
• Reverse supply chain (RMA) management and reporting of metrics. Failure analysis of all RMAs.
• Management of internal and supplier audit program. Training of internal auditors and review of supplier internal audits.
• Liaison with Customer Support and customers related to returns and return rates, and corrective actions. Drive closed loop corrective action system from Customer support back through the organization.
• Assist CEO, CFO/VP, Operations in strategic quality and long term quality planning and analysis.
• Other projects and tasks as agreed with Sr. Director, Operations and CFO.
Experience:
• 10 years experience minimum in quality engineering and quality management, 5 years in a management role.
• Demonstrated experience and success in a customer-facing quality representative in a startup or early phase technical environment
• A demonstrated record of success in delivering world-class quality for wireless communications systems manufacturing.
Knowledge:
• Strong background with the use of statistical methods in manufacturing quality assurance.
• Familiarity and knowledge of industry standards of data communications or telecom systems quality and performance, such as TL9000.
• Strong understanding of electronic component and systems reliability principles
• Background and education in statistics and statistical models related to electronic reliability physics and device reliability
• Expertise with Excel and windows PS-based reliability tools such as Telecordia Reliability Prediction software.
• Familiarity with wireless networking and IEEE 802.11 hardware environments.
Aptitude:
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a variety of locations and culture
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in an appropriate discipline, advanced degree preferred.
• ASQ CQM, CRE or other certifications are a plus.
