User Interface Engineer
Skyline is working with a dynamic startup focused on delivering cloud-based predictive analytics to mid to large B2C enterprises. The company is backed by a premier venture firm, has a great team and customers, and is located in Santa Clara.
This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join at the ground floor in a massive market that is seeing tremendous discontinuity.
You will work closely with product and engineering management to understand the UI requirements and develop and unit test Web2.0 based user interfaces for predictive analytics platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and PHP. You will work closely with team members in a highly iterative and collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
• 10+ years of experience developing Web based UI application using HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, and CSS.
• Excellent understanding of UI usability issues and solutions
• Excellent understanding of HTTP protocol.
• In-depth experience of using at least one object oriented JavaScript framework for UI development
• Experience using HTML5, and CSS3 elements to develop sophisticated reports and charts.
• Strong understanding and experience of data structures, algorithms, performance, and scalability issues
• Experience installing, configuring and using Apache/Tomcat servers with PHP and MySQL integrations in Linux environment.
• Experience with PHP and MySQL.
• UI usability (layout, look & feel) design experience
• Experience developing UI for web-analytics applications
• Experience developing web-clients using Web Services/REST API's
• Web UI development for smart mobile tablets
• Experience using tools to develop UI elements (images, icons etc) is desirable
• Experience with application software development using Java/C++ is desirable.
• Experience using a scripting language (Perl, bash, Python etc.)
• MS/BS in Computer Science
