Job Duties:
* Provide business process domain knowledge by understanding business direction and designing systems that will support key initiatives. Provide insight and guidance on functional designs, and assisting in conceptualizing and communicating business needs into actionable solutions. Work closely with the technical and business teams to define application requirements, including researching, associating, and translating industry best practices and regulations into University requirements that can be further designed and developed in PeopleSoft HCM.
* Translate business requirements into business process flows, high level data models, and other appropriate documents. Gather and document requirements; define, document setup and configure system as needed; conduct facilitate fit/gap analysis and design sessions as required in order to deliver features and functionality to production systems. Collaborate with other teams to develop cross-functional solutions that meet business requirements and are easily maintainable.
* Support the activities of the software development lifecycle, from capturing feature requirements, to designing and testing solutions, and ultimately to production implementation. Participate and support Functional Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities, including authoring test plans/scripts and testing. Define quality attributes, performance, constraints, and other non- functional requirements to support initiatives.
* Manage requirements traceability information and tracking the status of requirements throughout the stages of implementation.
* Participate in reviews and inspections of requirements documents, functional and technical designs, and test material.
* Provide advanced production support services as required, including during initial rollout period and beyond. Tasks include, but are not limited to, reviewing processes, analyzing and fixing system data, working with customers directly to resolve issues, and designing new solutions to resolve system defects.
* Provide PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM functional and technical support and leadership to the team. Be a knowledgeable resource to mentor others less experienced in application functionality and production operations.
* Mentor others through the project lifecycle on both technology and process.
* Participate in and provide input to other project areas as needed.
