Program Manager, Audio Mixers / Southern CA

Our client is a Global Audio company who makes many audio products, as well as a few telephony products. They are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Program Manager. This person will be responsible for program management of a technical Audio Mixer product portfolio, ensuring effective lifecycle management from new product development to sustaining activities and EOL execution. The role requires someone capable of successfully leading highly skilled, cross-functional teams to on-time and on-budget project completion in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.

The position requires the successful candidate to work closely and seamlessly with team members from multiple departments, including R&D, NPI, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Product Management, and external supply chain partners. In addition, the candidate must be capable of creating effective communications relevant to all levels of the organization.

Specific duties include:

• Act as a hands on Program Manager, co-leading a cross functional Audio Mixer category core team.

• Drive and achieve results that meet aggressive time and cost constraints.

• Facilitate problem solving within project teams and/or across department boundaries.

• Continuously improve Program Management tools and processes.

• Drive a sense of urgency and commitment within a cross functional core team.

• Solve complex problems and facilitate solutions across department boundaries.

• Track and communicate progress of multiple concurrent programs.

• Contribute to standardized development processes.



Required Skills:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Master's degree in business or technical field preferred.

• 7-10 years of experience as a Program Manager managing large programs in an electronics manufacturing company.

• Deep experience with both hardware electronics and software development projects.

• Broad experience managing programs that utilize offshore development and/or offshore manufacturing resources.

• Experience with audio mixing consoles or signal processing, or similar technology.

• Passion for the music/audio industry required.

• Superb Program and Portfolio Management skills related to hardware electronics products.

• Superior problem solving skills: issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and developing recommendations.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.

• Strong leadership and presence.

• Strong decision making skills.

• Exceptional facilitation skills, especially across departments.

• A "go-getter" - an intrinsic ability to get things done and deliver results.

• Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customer and suppliers.

• Willingness to travel to China and other offshore development and manufacturing countries.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Project, Excel, PowerPoint.



Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of project collaboration tools, SharePoint, is a plus.

• Knowledge of resource management tools, PDWare, is a plus.

• PMP certification preferred.
