Title: Business Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Contract

The analyst will work in the Tier 0 (self-service) team within the larger HR Business Intelligence group. The teams strategic goal is to have one place for integrated Workforce Metrics for Executives, Managers, and their support organizations such as HR and Finance. We provide analytics, metrics, and supporting details across major HR programs and processes such as rewarding people, talent Management, headcount budgeting, training, and more. Users can track, monitor, and analyze workforce demographics, costs, and HR Efficacies and Effectiveness of HR Programs presented through Management Metrics Center.

The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, detail-oriented, has the ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues, and is comfortable interpreting meaning and relevance from raw data. The role interfaces with members of the HR Leadership Team, HR Program Owners, Client-Facing HR, and the HRIT Business Intelligence Team.

Responsibilities:
- Collect data through interviews, surveys, web search, database search, or other methods.
- Partner with various teams to identify key information gaps and plan to provide that information.
- Synthesize and analyze information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and dangers.
- Work closely with the HR COEs to build out actionable metrics and what if analysis via dashboards/reports in the Management Metrics Center tool.
- Develop subject matter expertise in dashboard areas and own enhancement and support for various dashboards.
- Consults with client to understand opportunities for metric/dashboard automation.
- Develops business visualizations and understands business outcome.
- Creates functional requirements that are then used to scope and develop projects in HRIT.
- Partners closely with the client to evaluate and prioritize business needs. Business requirement development may include using business data models.
- Works closely with the technical team to develop logical data model and recommend technical solutions to the business. Assumes ownership of an assigned system(s). Ensures commitments and deliverables are met.

Skills Required:
- Degree and 7 years of experience are required.
- Direct visualization and development experience in OBIEE 11G required.
- Solid Excel and Access database skills required.
- Excellent people, process, and problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, technical acumen, and communications skills.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and communicate the meaning of the data being presented.
- Good communication skills and presentation skills, along with the ability to influence.
- Siebel Analytics/OBIEE or Business Intelligence Equivalent Tools
- Results oriented and a self-starter.
- Team player that can help drive change through process analysis and improvement.
- Ability to exercise judgment and apply problem solving skills to obtain solutions.
