Title: Tech Support/Network Technician
Experis is currently looking for multiple Tech Support/Network Technician consultants for our Technology client in San Jose, CA
Requirement:
- 5+ years of Tech Support/Network Technician experience
- Working with Engineer to confirm local inventory against lab BOMs
- Managing/organizing local inventory gear (cables/APC/hardware)
- Establishing prioritization of lab builds with GOLD Engineer/TPM
- Assist GOLD Engineer calculating rack space needed for lab hardware/wiring/power usage
- Receive order tracking numbers for ordered equipment from TPM
- Gathering IOS/OS/application software for upcoming lab build
- When appropriate, track device behavior ticket resolution with Arcana
- Receiving orders and entering equipment into inventory against lab BOMs
- Rack & assist configure management devices (Terminal Servers/PG/APC/ILO)
- Rack & wire equipment based on lab topology
- Use proper wire management and focus on keeping lab area clutter-free
- Apply IOS updates to pod specific gear based on lab requirements
- Local server OS/application installs
- Upload VM(s)/image(s) to lab environment per GOLD Engineers needs
- Integrate and Automate labs based on GOLD Engineer plan
- Replication from dev pod out to production pods
- LabOps integration (EDI) & creation of lab exercises (LabWizard)
- Troubleshooting LabOps& pod devices
- Ensuring complete functionality of pods based on end user accessibility
- Stability/Power up/Power down testing
- Provide technical support for labs during local/remote VT Events
- Pushing out updates/refreshes according to GOLD Engineer/SME/TPM
- Communicate with GOLD Engineer any troubleshooting techniques for specific lab issues
- Provide 2nd tier technical support for labs during local/remote VT Events
- Assist with lab maintenance as per GOLD Engineer or SME guidance.
