One of our clients - a multi billion dollar storage company is building a brand new distributed storage product from scratch. The product redefines storage for the modern data center. The team includes veterans in the storage industry that have decades of experience developing storage products from scratch at VC backed startups. This is a great opportunity to get in early and develop a complex product from scratch.
Responsibilities
-- Contribute to the overall design and architecture of the product, platform and technology
-- Own specific pieces of the system design and develop code in C / C++ / Java end to end
-- Work with cross functional teams Engineering, QA, Product Management to deliver code in a timely fashion
-- Develop design, architecture and code level documentation
-- Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
-- At least 5+ years of experience designing and developing Control Plane SW for distributed systems.
-- Experience working in and with an open source distributed system such as Zookeeper, Cassandra preferred.
-- Extensive experience writing and maintaining C / C++ / Java and / or Python code.
-- Experience with developing and operating a largescale distributed systems environment such as a large cloud storage, web infrastructure, database replication, high availability, etc.
-- Experience working with containers/Docker.
-- Excellent communication skills.
-- Linux development.
-- Excellent problem solving skills
Qualifications:
-- Master's Degree in Computer Science or Bachelor's Degree with relevant Experience
