Hello Everyone,
I wanted to find a way to get important job search information out to job seekers who were making some common (and serious!) mistakes in their job search.
I also wanted to profile advanced techniques from the experts such as recruiters and HR professionals.
Please share this with any friends, colleagues or groups that would benefit from learning these best practices -- and the traps to avoid!
Thanks to our local community TV station, KMVT, we were able to produce these shows to help job seekers avoid the pitfalls and embrace smart and effective job search techniques -- so they can find the job they'll love faster!
I won't be doing any more shows, since these cover the major areas of need...and it was pretty time consuming. ;)
The shows are up on YouTube at the links below (or you can find them by searching on YouTube under "Sue Connelly KIT List").
I've shared links to the previous four shows in the past, and here is the link to the latest show:
How to Conduct a Winning Job Interview -- Tips from Recruiters
Get the inside scoop from two seasoned recruiters, Gretchen Sand of Skyline Recruiting and Denise Pringle of Pringle Recruiting, on the key ways to nail your job interview.
And here are the other shows:
Job Hunting Tips and Smart Strategies
Christine Young, SPHR, coach with CCY Consulting and John Goldberg of JL Goldberg & Associates share insights and strategies on job seeking in today's economy.
Successful Job Networking
Learn effective networking techniques to land a great job from Hamid Sadaat, founder of CSIX Connect, and Tom Brouchoud, Senior Manager of Global Talent Aquisition at Sandisk.
Interviewing Tips and Traps
Kevin Delaney, Director of Human Resources at VMWare, and Randy Block, a coaching and career management professional, share interviewing best practices.
How to Use LinkedIn to Get a Job
Social media expert, Jennifer Barr, and recruiter, Jenny Kahn, discuss the most effective ways to use LinkedIn for your successful job search.
I want to thank the generous volunteers at KMVT who helped me, especially Mike Harris, who kindly produced all the shows (without him, these shows would never have happened!). I'm also grateful to the expert speakers who gave much of their time and vital advice to help all of you. This is the magic of kind people "paying it forward" to make a difference!
Please share this with others so we can get everyone into great jobs!
Warmly,
Sue
