Title: Jr. User Experience Designer
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quarterly)
Need to have work samples of software/website/application design
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- In this position you will work with other stakeholders to
Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to discover user needs and pain points
Collect and analyze user data through server logs, usability testing, workshops, lab studies, and surveys.
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to derive persona, use cases, concepts, user journeys, and information architecture
Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
Evangelize research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
Provide expert form design, navigation design, page layout and interaction design
Create UI specifications for use by technical team members
QULIFICATIONS:
1. MA in HCI, Product Design, Information Science or related degree
2. 2+ years of experience in application design
3. Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
4. Excellent working knowledge of statistics and the principles of experiment design.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
6. Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize
