Title: Mid level Visual Designer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 3+ months contract (renewed quarterly)

Visual Designer: in this position you will work with other stakeholders to define the look and feel of the company�s UI design language for all of the company�s products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define the look and feel of UI components and design patterns used by multiple platforms (web, desktop, TV, mobile)
Work with other stakeholders (application development teams, UI designers, Sr. visual designers and UI developers) to qualify requirements, and negotiate successful designs
Create clear visual specifications for UI components (including redliners, diagrams, and case studies)


QUALIFICATIONS:

MA in graphical design, digital media or related fields
4+ years of experience designing software user interfaces
Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver in particular
Need to show application design experience
A STUNNING Portfolio (A top-notch portfolio that exemplifies a refined design aesthetic)
Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills. The ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
Experience designing desktop and/or Web-based applications
Experience designing TV, mobile or data visualization is a plus
