OTM Software Professionals seeking a QA Engineer with Web Application Testing experience for long term (1+ year) project at Fortune 500 Client Company. Pay rate negotiable DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
Key job responsibilities:
•Work as a QA Engineer/Web Application Tester with cross functional teams, understanding and refining user interface requirements, designing, writing and testing code, troubleshooting bugs when necessary.
•Participate in setting front-end, user interface test standards and guidelines and identify and document best practices.
•Stay up-to-date with new front-end web application testing technologies.
Skills and requirements:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in web application testing, preferably web user interface testing experience.
•5+ years of experience testing applications written in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Prefer exp writing Html, CSS, or Javascript.
•Ability to address and quickly fix browser compatibility issues.
•Knowledge and eagerness to test applications written with HTML5, CSS3.
•Experience with Content Management Systems.
•Understanding of performance, web analytics, SEO techniques.
•Familiarity with server side technologies and back-end frameworks.
•Ability to learn, leverage, and contribute web user interface enhancements.
•Experience with Subversion or similar versioning file management systems.
•Strong teamwork and communication skills, and time management abilities.
•Passion for testing great consumer based applications.
•B.S. / B.A. degree or equivalent work experience. Computer Science degree is a plus
