Responsibilities:
Be a catalyst for change.
Establish future-state enterprise centric application reference architectures for in-house developed, COTS integrated and 3rd party cloud solutions that consider business, information, application, infrastructure and security perspectives.
Establish a Java development stack, .Net development stack, mainframe development stack and SDLC processes and tools.
Establish mobile device application and single sign-on authentication strategies and ensure these strategies are fully integrated into application reference architectures, development stacks, and SDLC tools and processes.
Ensure reference architectures, technology stacks and SDLC processes meet security and regulatory requirements.
Guide projects to use reference architectures and strategic technology stacks. Develop plans to migrate non-standard solutions and manage exceptions.
Establish and provide leadership to execute our EAI, SOA and BPM strategies.
Establish software development and integration design principles, standards and best practices to promote the consistency, completeness, interoperability and quality of solutions.
Advocate for simple, standard and automated solutions to business needs.
Integrate enterprise information architectures with enterprise application architectures.
Participate in high-level project estimation and solution design including identifying external interfaces, system design (componentization), domain modeling, and solution design reviews.
Stay current on technologies, technology trends and directions, and best practices. Evaluate potential technologies for use within the enterprise
Mature the Enterprise Architecture practice.
Requirements:
Proven track record of influencing change and leading strategic enterprise IT initiatives to achieve well-defined business objectives.
Broad industry experience and broad IT leadership experience.
Banking or other Financial Services experience a plus.
Enterprise Application Architecture experience in a large software development organization.
Strong technical expertise in Java development stacks. Industry expert level of expertise implementing multi-tier enterprise applications in Java.
Experience with .Net development stacks.
Experience with Mainframe application development a plus.
Experience with data modeling and relational database technologies.
Strong technical expertise in mobile application development.
Experience establishing EAI, SOA and BPM strategies.
Experience establishing authentication and authorization strategies.
Experience establishing Business Continuity and DR strategies.
Information Security experience a plus.
Experience maturing SDLC principles, processes and practices.
Understanding of information architecture concepts that enable well-integrated transactional, analytical and collaborative systems.
Understanding of enterprise IT Service Management concepts.
Ability to cultivate a shared vision, articulate clear business objectives and strategy, and align the organization to achieve them.
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels. Can communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to resolve conflicts, negotiate compromise, and collaboratively lead business managers and project teams to optimal technical solutions.
Ability to quickly comprehend new technologies and synthesize complex technical details into coherent technical strategy and solution.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field.
Eight+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, application architecture, software development, or engineering.
