We are looking for a Senior Web and Adobe CQ5 Interface Developer who excels at creating client-side interactions using (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to join a small team of developers responsible for front-end code on a large-scale corporate web site. This developer would support content authors and publishers worldwide.
The SWID consults with clients on applications, information architecture, content design and development, user interface, usability testing, presentation, and documentation. The SWID also coordinates and communicates business and technical information (e.g., project activity summaries, technical briefings, etc.) to clients and the home office to expedite knowledge transfer within the JWay organization.
Additionally, the SWID conducts standards and process training for client accounts, attends planning meetings, and participates in tactical implementations (e.g., helping the Account/Project Manager (A/PM) identify project resources and new sales opportunities or researching new Web technologies as they relate to client and company business requirements).
Job duties include:
* Creating xhtml/css/javascript "Components" for use in pages on Cisco.com.
* Developing Adobe CQ5 components for use on Cisco.com
* Creating and maintaining xhtml and CQ5 page templates that leverage Components.
* Writing and Maintaining specifications and documentation necessary to support the page templates and components.
* Collaborating with User Experience designers to determine specifications, visual design, and use cases.
* Supporting clients and publishers that use our code.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML5 and CSS3 a plus.
* Knowledge of browser compatibility issues when using JavaScript and CSS
* Intimate knowledge of current web standards
* Insight on user experience specifications
* Requirements gathering and analysis skills
* Experience working with an enterprise level content management system.
* Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills
Ideal Candidate Also Has One or More of the Following Skills:
* Adobe CQ5, ExtJS, Sling, JSP
* Experience with jQuery
* HTML5 and CSS3
* Visual design (ability to create mockups in photoshop)
* Interaction design (user flow diagrams and use cases)
* Writing and maintaining supporting documentation
* AJAX
* Experience using Git
* Websphere Portal Server
* Localization
* Section 508 Requirements
* Search Engine Optimization
* Performance / Page-render optimization
