Interested in working for a growing Silicon Valley software company? Electric Cloud is looking for an experienced sales/systems engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have already worked five years as a software developer and at least two years as a sales engineer. Specifically, this position requires experience working directly with account executives to qualify and position solutions that solve complex software build and release problems for current and potential customers. In addition, this position also works directly with engineers (ours, our partners, and our customers) to manage and implement trial deployments on-site.

Job Responsibilities:

Quickly understand new developer tools, technologies, and platforms and integrate them with our products
Identify, isolate and resolve complicated performance and correctness issues
Coordinate work across large teams & organizations to deliver working, scalable solutions on tight schedules

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer or build/SCM administrator
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a sales or systems engineer selling enterprise-wide software solutions.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills.
Good working knowledge of scripting languages (eg, Perl)
Expert in C/C++ and build tools like GNU Make and Visual Studio
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Experience in professional services a plus.

The Support Engineer will work directly with software developers and build engineers from world-class technology companies like Broadcom, Qualcomm, General Motors, Ericsson and Nokia. As a Support Engineer, this position requires strong technical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with scripting languages, GWT programming, system-administration experience and wide-range knowledge of the software development process.

Responsibilities:

Handle customer issues involving significant detailed information

Work directly with Engineering and QA to help implement solutions and test new solutions for our expanding set of customers
Multi-task over numerous disparate open cases

Qualifications:

3-5 years of software development experience using Windows, Linux, Perl and XML
Experience programming with GWT, javascript and java will be important in this role
Ability to work with databases, primarily MySQL
Experience using the Apache Web Server is beneficial
Ability to read shell scripts
Written and verbal communication skills required to understand customer issues and to liaise with Engineering staff in finding a resolution
Problem-solving skills needed to help uncover the root cause of a problem through both experience and experimentation
Experience using tools like procmon, procexp, wireshark, and other debugging tools to hunt down O/S and Network issues is beneficial
Able to work both independently and in a group to support customers cases
Able to adapt to a wide range of issues

Education:

Bachelor´s Degree (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science)

Travel:

Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications. We're looking for someone who lives in the Minneapolis area, who originally worked in a clinical laboratory as a "Medical Technologist" and evolved into healthcare I.T as a Requirements Analyst. As a former medical technologist, this individual is probably certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and may place "MLS", "MT", "CLS" (Clinical Laboratory Scientist), "CLS/MT", or "MLT" after their name.

Responsibilities:
The Requirements Analyst will serve as a hybrid functional (clinical) and business analyst, identifying and documenting specifications to support the development of Laboratory Information Systems.

The Requirements Analyst plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. The individual will partner with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet functional requirements. The individual may plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing. The individual creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements and designs details of automated systems. The individual may lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have experience using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS such as Horizon Lab, Sunquest, SCC Soft's Softlab, Cerner, etc) and will have experience identifying hospital laboratory [or reference laboratory experience at LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, etc] functional requirements and solving those business needs using information technology. The ability to identify functional needs, design/document software solutions, and then validate solutions through system testing is required. The ability to be to take initiative and be self-directed, the ability to work within a collaborative environment, and a history of strong communication skills are essential.

Preferred But Not Required:

1. Experience using, implementing, and/or supporting Lab software

2. Experience representing workflows, capturing and communicating requirements, creatively improving laboratory processes.

3. Experience creating software using the Agile/Scrum software development process.

Beside managing two others in the support team this person will provide day to day technical support for customers, prospects and partners worldwide. The individual should have a very strong technical background and be very keen in troubleshooting issues. Normal operations require managing critical issues, regularly communicating with customers, training on product features and providing on call support. Hello Everyone,

I wanted to let you know about a radio program tonight where I
will talk about the KIT List and share the life lessons the great
people on our list have taught me -- and how I now view adversity, or
what I call "the bumps in the road," in a different way.

program, blog and workshops (www.LoveLetterSquad.com) is to help all
walks of people communicate important messages via a well-worded
letter. They've helped people write especially difficult or meaningful
letters such as to lost family members, adoptive children to their
biological mothers, people who have been pivotal in someone's life, or
to a person who was key in someone's career. Their mission is to
change the world, one letter at a time.

In our fast-paced world of technology and distractions, the art of
communication has been lost. Tresa and Janet help people commit
important messages to paper, which then can bring new breakthroughs or
convey vital messages that change lives.

My letter is to a woman on the KIT List who emailed me years ago, when
I was struggling with the workload alone and didn't think I could keep
it going. I was thinking of ending the KIT List.

She wrote that her husband was dying of cancer, she was the sole
breadwinner with three children, and that she was out of work. She
wanted to tell me that she appreciated the KIT List. I realized that
while I was having my own challenges, that they paled in comparison to
what this courageous woman was facing, and that has been my motivator
many times to keep the KIT List going.

I have tried many times over the years to find that woman, since I
want to know how she and her family are doing, and if her husband was
able to beat the cancer.

I'm hoping that somehow through tonight's radio program, or through
someone on the KIT List, that I'll be able to connect with her and let
her know how important her email was to me during a tough time, and to
hear how her family is faring. Serendipity works that way!

to write that important letter you always meant to write!

Electric Cloud is looking for an inside sales engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-4 years experience in a software company as a software developer, build engineer, test automation engineer or tech support and a computer science degree.

In this role you will work with inside sales representatives to qualify and position solutions that solve complex software build and release problems for current and potential customers. In addition, this position also works directly with engineers (ours, our partners' and our customers') to remotely manage and implement trial deployments.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform technical demos (on-line) of world-class build/test/release automation application to software engineers and software managers
Support prospective customers' software evaluations by helping to create evaluation plan and providing remote support to customers' engineers by web conference, phone and email
Coordinate internally across Engineering, Support and Sales Engineering groups to troubleshoot issues during evaluations
Help prospective customers deliver working, scalable solutions on tight schedules

Requirements:

2-4 years of professional experience in a software company as a software developer, build engineer, test automation engineer or tech support
Some customer-facing interaction
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills
Good working knowledge of scripting languages (for example, Perl, Unix shell)
Exposure to Java and C++ programming languages

Education:

Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
