Our Fortune 50 Client is seeking a Senior Web Front-End Engineer to drive User Experience Innovation. Experience in Social Networking Front End highly preferred..This Senior Engineer will not only be responsible for defining the architectural strategy for front-end technologies -- including HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript -- but for evangelizing that technology across the team and Company as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Develop: lead efforts on large scale, global, web-based projects, ensuring robust & lasting solutions are implemented
- Mobile: take advantage of the Companies mobile products and showcase the latest features
- Maintain: leverage existing JavaScript libraries to support the engineering and creative needs of the Company.
- Mentor: educate team members on software development best practices and new technologies, especially HTML5 & CSS3
- Innovate: build things that people will blog and Twitter about
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience with front end web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX)
- Comfortable with source version control software (CVS, SVN, Git)
- Well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines
- Fluent in web standards and building solutions using semantic markup and CSS
- Understanding of all major browsers and the special considerations required for all various quirks
- Competent JavaScript programmer who doesn´t need to rely on libraries to accomplish innovative interactions
- Aware of the interplay between JavaScript and HTML & CSS, and can dynamically create, modify, and style elements on a page with ease
- Able to communicate technical issues with non-technical folks
