Our Fortune 50 client, with headquarters in Cupertino is seeking an Engineering Program Manager, to assist the Engineering Manager, to drive various projects for the Apple Online Store.
The right candidate has proven their ability to deliver both small (< 3month) and large (9-15+ month) projects that are global and cross-functional. They must be very flexible and have keen technical, project management and relationship-building skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Project management: organize, plan, communicate and drive project activities in a dynamic cross-functional environment
•Resource development: interact with other project managers daily and guide/assist senior and junior developers to reach program goals
•Provide engineering feedback to the business during requirements definition phase
•Delivers various level of engineering scoping, based on one page business summary, heads-up
documentation efforts, develops business requirements documentation, and functional specifications
•Provide technical direction to other engineers on the projects and participate in engineering design reviews
•Collaborate with other cross-functional teams on engineering design discussions
•Occasional international and domestic travel is required
Key Skills & Attributes:
•Proven ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to deadline and budget constraints
•Quick study, who can collaborate and contribute a point of view that is based on experience, data and common sense
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Flexible and well-organized
•Technical breadth and understanding of complex, and highly scalable, eCommerce software applications systems
•Proficient knowledge of systems development and implementation life cycles
•Should be self motivated, results-driven with attention to detail
•Demonstrates innovative and creative thinking capabilities and problem solving skills
Education and Experience:
•Undergraduate BS in Engineering or Computer Science preferred, will consider Program Managers of other backgrounds with considerable experience in software development
•6+ years of engineering and project management experience in consumer internet technology projects (payment, e-commerce and SAP experience is preferred)
•International project experience is required
Duration:
Approx. six (6) months, to begin with, subject to extension
