Location : San Jose, CA
Duration : 6 months +
This position includes coordinating and scheduling cross-functional resources. A strong Engineering background, including experience with software development processes such as Agile and Waterfall methodologies, is preferred. Experience in Financial industry a huge plus.
* Defining project schedules and resource requirements based on planning methodologies, deliverables, schedules, and tasks.
* Facilitation, coordination and project management of cross functional team tasks and activities.
* Interpretation of validated scope and translation to resource requirements and activities.
* Facilitating scope validation meetings.
* Working with functional managers to book required resources to project teams.
* Working with cross-functional teams including QA, Engineering, User Experience and the like to ensure project task accuracy and drive resolution of issues and constraints.
* Communicating planning and schedule status, issues and risks in a timely manner.
* Identifying and resolving problems, planning issues, and project changes. Escalation of unresolved issues requiring senior management attention.
Required skills and background experience include:
* 5 or more years experience with technology industry projects.
* Experience in project managing large-scale and enterprise projects required. Prefer experience with large Internet, web-based projects.
* The candidate should have solid experience with formal software development life cycles, especially in a Web environment
* Experience in problem solving, process improvement methods, and business re-engineering methodologies
* Proven track record in process definition and improvement initiatives.
* Experience in project management process; knowledge of project management software tools, templates and management techniques
