SEO MANAGER
Client is seeking an energetic SEO Manager with expertise in SEO initiatives for large websites. We are looking for a hands-on SEO professional, with excellent problem solving skills that has a fundamental understanding of SEO issues involving site architecture, keyword generation, search-friendly content, link building strategies, blog optimization, and metrics-driven SEO. If you have successfully executed Search Engine Optimization strategies for large eCommerce sites and are looking to build your expertise working with a team of high caliber search engineers and a skilled team of SEO analysts, we want to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge SEO technology and tools and work under the direction and guidance of well respected SEO experts in the industry. Our team consists of SEO thought leaders who are actively involved in speaking events and contributions to industry publications
What You Will Learn:
You will have the opportunity to join a very successful, results-oriented team, and with the size of our sites you will get to continuously test and really prove out successful SEO strategies. In addition to the US, Client currently operates websites in UK, Germany and Japan allowing you to broaden your knowledge of international SEO. Furthermore, with the breadth of knowledge on our team you will learn a variety of management tactics and strategies to develop our SEO team to the next level. Here, you will broaden and deepen your SEO experience in anything and everything SEO.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Work with the Sr. Manager of SEO to test, plan, and successfully execute on ROI positive SEO initiatives, including but not limited to keyword generation, content creation, URL selection for XML sitemap submissions, internal linking, and external linking.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure consistency in SEO strategy and implementation across multiple properties.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of SEO strategies in generating increased web traffic and organic revenue.
- Develop, share and implement SEO best practices across multiple properties.
- Work with external agencies and in-house teams to build quality external links.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and news.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BA/BS in Marketing with a strong understanding of technical SEO or BA/BS in Engineering or similar technical discipline.
- 2+ years experience in a specific SEO position with a successful track record.
- Understanding of on-site and off-site SEO.
- Technical: basic HTML, CSS, XML sitemap submissions, and code structure as it relates to SEO.
- Content: keyword research, generation, and analysis.
- Linking: internal and external linking strategies.
- Track record of successfully implementing SEO strategies with a goal of increasing traffic and revenue.
- Strong project management and inter-departmental coordination skills.
- Ability to execute on multiple projects while closely measuring the impact of each project and changing course when needed.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Having direct agency SEO experience a strong plus.
- Masters in Marketing or MBA a plus.
- SEO experience in the Enterprise, Content or Comparison Shopping Engine.
- Attention to detail with a focus on analytics.
- Familiarity with social networking and bookmarking sites.
