Looking for an Engineering Sr. PM that has been an engineer or engineering manager (or both) in the past. Project is long term (1+year) at Stable/Public/Growing client company.
Seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to support the platform technology projects for Online Presence on desktop and mobile devices. Creating the technology that is the face of the Client, the Website Features Engineering team has a major impact on Client´s online strategy. This role will require the successful management of high-profile, cross-functional projects.
We´re looking for an individual with a proven track record of delivering innovative, customer-facing projects in a fast-paced environment. The senior project manager is expected to manage projects of varying scale and complexity with minimal supervision. Our project manager should ruthlessly prioritize project assignments and issues, while negotiating and setting expectations with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
We need someone who is able to grasp new technical concepts quickly. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to change. Since the senior project manager will be our liaison to other internal groups, we need someone who is capable of communicating and leading at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead teams composed of multiple departments and functions with only consultative direction from management
Actively and efficiently collaborate with business, visual design, and engineering teams
Successfully develop and execute project plans by managing scope, schedule, deliverables, and resource allocation
Effectively communicate project schedules and status to team members and project stakeholders
Proactively identify project issues and risks
Prioritize team activities and drive resolution of issues across all areas of the project
Manage the development of technical documentation and post-launch support
Education / Experience
Requires BA/BS with 5-7 years of experience in engineering (previous)
Aptitude for grasping new technical concepts
Knowledge of the software development process
Experience with large scale online services
Knowledge of key architecture components (e.g., web servers, firewalls), standards (e.g., HTML, XML) and concepts (e.g., security, scalability, service-oriented architecture)
