Position: Flex UI Developer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 8-months plus, likely 10-months in length.

Company´s software team is looking for a Senior Flex Developer to play a critical role in developing rich user-centric user interface targeted to cutting edge data center intelligent automation software.
- Must have excellent Flex skills, track records in delivering UI systems and be resourceful.
- Must possess strong communication skills, maintain a keen sense of professionalism, be result oriented, extremely self-driven and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and document Flex UI components, take a set of concurrent technical and communication tasks, provide reliable schedules for their execution, and execute them to completion. A self-starter. Works well with others.
- Play a key role in the design and development of the Flex UI applications, propose UI architecture, translate ideas into product specs (mock ups, designs, usability, etc) and product development (reusable UI components, etc)
- Iteration of products (add/remove/modify features) based on iteration goals and inbound marketing and analytics.

Technical Skills:
- Must be at an expert-level with Flex, extensive Actionscript programming experience, Web 2.0 architectures with XML/JSON and Web programming: CSS, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5 experience
- Knowledge of Flex architectures, remoting, understanding of common AS3 design patterns and their possible use
- Strong skills in object oriented design and programming, strong background in implementing User Interface systems, proven understanding of user-centered design principles, experience MVC frameworks
- 8 years of interactive experience, relevant design experience includes rich interactive applications, Workflow designer/studio, IDE, web development

Other Skills:
- Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and coding (for readable software) skills. The first three with customers, with management, and across all parts of the project team.
- Process large amount of requirements quickly, understand the implications, produce alternative approaches, evaluate the approaches, and recommend an approach clearly and convincingly.
Good interaction with customers and across company. Able to handle difficult, impossible situations well is a plus.
- A team-oriented approach to working with everyone. Includes mentoring, assisting on various tasks, listening and handling all levels of tasks as needed.
- Understand product life-cycle and apply best practices for feature growth, flexibility, scaling, product family/versioning and integration with other products.
- Make tradeoffs between ideal requirements and resource limitations.
- Be a quick study on new technologies, systems, requirements, interfaces, components, frameworks and customer factors.

8 plus years of experience and a BSCS or equivalent.
