[KITlist-Tech] File - Subscription Tips to Post, Subscribe, Unsubscribe
Gang:
I've compiled a few "tips and tricks" on using the KITlist-Tech group with the hopes that this information will eliminate direct mail to the moderators with these questions. Please read through these instructions.
The best way to use Yahoo groups is via the Yahoo groups website. By doing so, this allows you to change your email preferences from individual emails, to daily digest, to no email at all. Here's how:
Go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
If you're not already a member, you'll join here. This allows you to then edit your membership and indicate your email preferences. Also, you can read all job postings via the website, respond directly to posts without having to decipher a cut-off email address, and peruse archived messages.
Of course, you can also subscribe by sending an email to:
KITlist-Tech-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And you can unsubscribe by sending an email from the address you subscribed with to:
KITlist-Tech-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Are you a recruiter/employer? Please visit our website where you can post jobs to our subscriber base at: www.kitlist.org
To join the NON-TECH list, send email to:
KITlist-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And finally, to reach your list moderators, email:
KITlist-Tech-owner@yahoogroups.com
Hope this information helps!
Cheers,
Amy Sloniker

[KITlist-Tech] File - Spread the word and tips to manage KIT Email Volume
In these wild economic times, it's the power of all of us pulling together that will help everyone land great jobs!
Please be sure to tell employers and recruiters about the KIT List so we can uncover more jobs to get everyone back to work (or into new jobs) faster.
Also, since we can't reach everyone who has been hit by layoffs or who are seeking better opportunities, we rely on word-of-mouth of friends helping friends and telling job seekers about the KIT List. We now have 58,000 members. It's because of the incredible people on the KIT List that we keep this community going!
This is the monthly reminder to let you know that if the volume of KIT emails is getting too much for your system, here are three options to help you manage them:
1. Direct all KIT emails to a special folder:
Some email systems allow you to create separate folders within your in-box. Create a KIT List folder and then create an email filter that will direct any emails with the word "KIT" in the subject line into that folder.
2. Have your emails grouped into one (or more) KIT email per day:
You can choose "Daily Digest" on your YahooGroups email preferences so that instead of getting individual emails. About twenty individual emails are then combined into one. Depending on the email volume for the day, you may receive more than one digest email.
Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Under Step 2, choose "Daily Digest" in the "Message Delivery" section. Hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and you should be all set.
3. Stop all KIT emails and view jobs via the Web:
Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Then go under "Message Delivery" and choose "Special Notices." Be sure to choose "Special Notices" since we do occasionally send out important messages from the moderators. Then hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
Also, please let us know if you get a job or candidate from the KIT List, it means a lot to us (Amy, Kelly and me) to hear how it's working for you!
Take care,
Sue Connelly

[KITlist-Tech] Device Driver and Porting Engineer (Campbell, CA)
InterNiche Technologies has been developing and licensing TCP/IP, Security protocols and applications since the earliest days of the Internet and is looking to expand its Software Engineering department with a talented, focused developer interested in developing and enhancing our product portfolio. Our products are designed for portability, supportability and small resource requirements; they are written in "C" and adhere to RFC and interoperability specifications. Products based on InterNiche source code are in use in millions of fielded units and operate across a wide spectrum of operating environments and component architectures. More information about our protocol modules and customers can be found at www.iNiche.com.
Specifically, this developer will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have strong "starting points" for their own product development by providing Ethernet drivers and operating system ports for a broad range of embedded microcontrollers and tool chain combinations.
Our ideal candidate will posses or desire to develop most the following skills:
* Device driver development experience (Ethernet preferred, though ´touching the hardware´ is of primary importance);
* Experience using development tools from multiple vendors;
* Experience with several operating system architectures and designs and posessing a firm understanding of preemptive RTOS operation as well as "big loop" designs;
* Solid grasp of resource locking, semaphore control and critical section concepts;
* Disciplined approach to balancing new development with intelligent re-use of existing components;
* Working familiarity with assembly language programming;
* Strong written communication skills and an ability to lead technical correspondence with our customers.
Above all, InterNiche values the experience that comes from years of structured programming. We believe in a calm, "do it right the first time" approach and our employees can expect little in the way of travel or extraordinary hours.
If this feels like a match for your next position, please send an HTML or PDF resume to Jobs@iNiche.com. Interviews begin July 2, 2012.
Caveats: *Principals only* and we are *not sponsoring H-1 Visas* at this time. This is an in-office position located in *Campbell, CA*.
