You're an experienced software engineer with proven experience testing working with high-volume, SaaS environments. Responsibilities:
If you have experience managing large amounts of data and are an expert in both traditional databases as well as NoSQL systems, understand scaling and SOA, look no further. This is a role where you will help design and implement our next generation data architecture. You will work with a team of smart, like-minded engineers and collaborate closely with the product team in a tight-knit, fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience working on robust, scalable software
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling
• Strong experience working with Oracle or MySQL
• Experience with non-traditional stores like MongoDB

Your Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of entire systems and network infrastructure
• Maintain server and network uptime consistent with corporate goals and metrics
• A high level of proficiency with deployment, configuration, management, troubleshooting and tuning of Linux, Apache, and other Open Source SW for high volume SaaS websites

• Responsible for the back-end design, development and deployment of key Elance product features
• Collaborating with the Product Management team to review product requirements as well as QA & Customer Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround
• Cooperating constructively with fellow software engineers to perform requirements analysis and produce solid technical designs
• Writing clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements with little or no supervision
• Designing and implementing comprehensive unit tests while assessing and tuning application performance
• Collaborating with the entire Elance team to contribute to the continuous refinement of product strategy, software development methodology, internal tools and anything else that helps Elance maintain and expand its market leading position
Qualification and Requirements:
• 5+ years of web development experience in PHP or Java building components from the ground up
• Solid work experience in scalable Web 2.0 architecture, with experience working on a website with significant visitor traffic (500K+ users/wk) a plus
• SOA, Web Services, XML and Application Frameworks
• Familiarity with Linux environment, SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL) and no-SQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra), and O/R mapping tools
• Software design, architecture, and framework experience in Web 2.0 PHP/Java applications
• Experience with the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements definition through implementation and release and ability to execute in all stages
• Proven ability to estimate effort/time required for assigned tasks based on requirements and then implement them working with both frontend developers and a team of back-end developers
• A proven track record of delivering high quality code on schedule complete with unit tests
• The flexibility and passion to thrive in a fast-paced, informal startup environment
• The strong individual initiative required to drive product functionality and innovation from the bottom up
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent, MS a plus

General Summary:

The Product Line Manager (PLM) for Wind River's Open Source Software

• Visit/talk with customers and prospects and provide call reports for executive management distribution

This person will have managed directly and indirectly, worked globally with Linux software customers and internal teams, and have the presence and experience presenting to senior executives. Creative, intellectual, equally comfortable with technical and business issues, this person will have the energy and drive to get things done in an entrepreneurial environment.

• 7+ years of software product industry experience, ideally in Linux and Android

Position Overview:
The Sr. QA Engineer is involved throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that the final product meets customer needs. [KITlist-Tech] File - Subscription Tips to Post, Subscribe, Unsubscribe

I've compiled a few "tips and tricks" on using the KITlist-Tech group with the hopes that this information will eliminate direct mail to the moderators with these questions. Please read through these instructions.
The best way to use Yahoo groups is via the Yahoo groups website. By doing so, this allows you to change your email preferences from individual emails, to daily digest, to no email at all. Here's how:
Go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
If you're not already a member, you'll join here. This allows you to then edit your membership and indicate your email preferences. Also, you can read all job postings via the website, respond directly to posts without having to decipher a cut-off email address, and peruse archived messages.
Of course, you can also subscribe by sending an email to:
KITlist-Tech-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And you can unsubscribe by sending an email from the address you subscribed with to:
KITlist-Tech-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

Hello Everyone,
In these wild economic times, it's the power of all of us pulling together that will help everyone land great jobs!
Please be sure to tell employers and recruiters about the KIT List so we can uncover more jobs to get everyone back to work (or into new jobs) faster.
Also, since we can't reach everyone who has been hit by layoffs or who are seeking better opportunities, we rely on word-of-mouth of friends helping friends and telling job seekers about the KIT List. We now have 58,000 members. It's because of the incredible people on the KIT List that we keep this community going!
This is the monthly reminder to let you know that if the volume of KIT emails is getting too much for your system, here are three options to help you manage them:
1. Direct all KIT emails to a special folder:
Some email systems allow you to create separate folders within your in-box. Create a KIT List folder and then create an email filter that will direct any emails with the word "KIT" in the subject line into that folder.
2. Have your emails grouped into one (or more) KIT email per day:
You can choose "Daily Digest" on your YahooGroups email preferences so that instead of getting individual emails. About twenty individual emails are then combined into one. Depending on the email volume for the day, you may receive more than one digest email.
Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Under Step 2, choose "Daily Digest" in the "Message Delivery" section. Hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and you should be all set.
3. Stop all KIT emails and view jobs via the Web:

InterNiche Technologies has been developing and licensing TCP/IP, Security protocols and applications since the earliest days of the Internet and is looking to expand its Software Engineering department with a talented, focused developer interested in developing and enhancing our product portfolio. Our products are designed for portability, supportability and small resource requirements; they are written in "C" and adhere to RFC and interoperability specifications. Products based on InterNiche source code are in use in millions of fielded units and operate across a wide spectrum of operating environments and component architectures. Specifically, this developer will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have strong "starting points" for their own product development by providing Ethernet drivers and operating system ports for a broad range of embedded microcontrollers and tool chain combinations.
Our ideal candidate will posses or desire to develop most the following skills:
* Device driver development experience (Ethernet preferred, though ´touching the hardware´ is of primary importance);
* Experience using development tools from multiple vendors;
* Experience with several operating system architectures and designs and posessing a firm understanding of preemptive RTOS operation as well as "big loop" designs;
* Solid grasp of resource locking, semaphore control and critical section concepts;
* Disciplined approach to balancing new development with intelligent re-use of existing components;
* Working familiarity with assembly language programming;
* Strong written communication skills and an ability to lead technical correspondence with our customers.

Specifically, the initial project for this developer is to focus on improving (or rewriting) our suite of security protocols: enhancing IPSec, IKE and SSL to the newest specifications and encryption techniques.
Our ideal candidate will posses or desire to develop most the following skills:
* Strong understanding of the trade-offs between size, speed and feature set;
* Solid understanding of implications of multitasking preemption and resource control;
* Posses both a "broad" and "narrow" view of RFC interpretation;
* TCP/IP operation (sockets programming, sequence numbers, sliding windows, delayed acknowledgement, etc.);
* Ability to decode "Wireshark" captures;
* IPv6, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, IPSec, IKE, PPP;
* Understands and believes in unit, system and interoperability testing;
* Strong written communication skills and an ability to lead technical correspondence with our customers.

Responsible for Cognos 8.3/8.4 report development, support production, analyze functional specification documents and create technical specification and support documentation. Detailed knowledge of Cognos 8.x including Report studio, Query Studio and Analysis Studio.
Required Skills:
•Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio and hands on experience in creating complex drill through reports
•Data Warehouse and SQL knowledge in SQL Server
•Very good hands on experience with FM Modeling
•Some experience in Cognos Administration
•Understanding about the Crystal report and able to generate SQL queries out of Crystal report.
•Experience with Cognos SDK, JavaScript desired
•Excellent communication skills
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain Cognos reporting solution and FM Modeling

•Quality Assurance for Cognos Reports
