About the role
We are currently recruiting for an outstanding Field Application Engineer to join the US team in the San Francisco Bay Area. Reporting to the EVP Americas this role will be responsible for supporting business development by technically positioning, demonstrating, qualifying and helping close agreements for SDK licenses, platform support and app content deals with target customers and partners.
The role will include but not be limited to:
· Supporting sales, business development, marketing and partner management (both onsite and over the phone) with technical positioning, demonstrations, qualification and objection handling in relation to business deals for Marmalade SDK licenses and platform support
· Delivering Marmalade SDK onsite training and consulting where applicable
· Service Sales (Porting Services, Custom Engineering ) qualification and internal scope/effort assessments
· Working with customer Marmalade codebases to identify and solve problems
· Working closely with engineering, project delivery management and sales to manage documentation for proposals, SOWs and ensuring there are well scoped service engagements
· Presenting to senior technical decision makers and public audiences
About you
· Experience in engineering/delivery and/or pre-sales engineering roles
· Ability to multi-task & work flexibly (travel and extended hours)
· C / C++ and HTML5 programming experience
· Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Apple Xcode
· Ideally experience in and a passion for the mobile app and game market
· Strong understanding of the Marmalade SDK and its value propositions or ability to learn quickly
· Good understanding of the process and effort required for custom engineering and porting of applications to the Marmalade SDK or other similar products
· Great customer facing skills
· Experience of using Sugar CRM and sales management and reporting tools.
