The Technical Writer Contractor plans, executes and supports all technical writing efforts for the Barco LiveDots Engineering team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plans, writes, edits and updates clear and effective user´s guides, and quick start guides.
2. Maintains continuity among all documents in terms of branding, graphics, style and product nomenclature.
3. Enhances all documentation with diagrams, charts, screen cuts and other graphic elements.
4. Ensures the accuracy and quality of all documentation, by learning how to operate all equipment to be documented, with a high degree of skill
5. Maintains the overall look and feel of the company´s brand and identity.
6. Works closely with Marketing, Engineering and Technical Support personnel, to ensure that all written procedures are clear, accurate and unambiguous.
7. Establishes milestones and maintains all documentation schedules.

Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor´s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, a related degree or equivalent work experience.
2. A minimum of three years of technical writing experience in the broadcast, video or computer marketplace, with a portfolio of prior work (both printed and electronic).
3. Complete familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Acrobat, Visio and PhotoShop.
4. Excellent writing, editing and communications skills, with superb attention to detail.
