OTM Software Professionals seeking a Linux System Administrator for Fortune 500 Client Company. Pay rate $60-65/hour DOE.

About The Role:
We are looking for an Intermediate/Advanced Linux System Administrator who will be responsible for supporting production engineering systems for on-site and remote campuses. This person will serve as a member of a dynamic team of system administrators who are responsible for the design, implementation, and support of a highly available enterprise environment. Duties involve hands-on hardware/software installation of new environments, enhancing and streamlining existing systems, replacing and restructuring of legacy systems, and documentation. This environment will exclusively rely upon virtualization technologies.
Required Skills:
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management.
-Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
-Comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration; for example, configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printer systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
-Has a solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, filesystem concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions).
-Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; can configure NFS, NIS, LDAP and MTAs; can use host or dig to check information in the DNS; understands how DHCP and TFTP work and can troubleshoot related issues; understands basic routing concepts.
-Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Perl, Python, shell).
-1-2 years hands on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP) experience.
-2+ years of experience administering RedHat and/or CentOS.
-Must be able to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively.
-Root cause and failure analysis to resolve system problems.
-Initiates some new responsibilities and helps to plan for the future of the site/network.
Required Background:
-Three to five years of system administration experience.
Desirable Background and Skills:
-A degree in computer science or a related field.
-Red Hat Certified Engineer certification.
-Experience assisting in the administration of a large, complex site.
-Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
-Knowledge of SAN/NAS management is a plus.
-Ability to do minimal debugging and modification of C programs.
