OTM is seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer for a direct client company project. Client Company is
stable, growing and well known. Long term opportunity, pay rate negotiable DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (local = San Francisco Bay Area)
The Data Warehouse Engineer will be responsible for understanding and analyzing the business requirements. The primary responsibility is to enable business driven data solutions involving variety of sources and destinations (open source, off the shelf, etc). This role will be vital in understanding both business and data architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Work closely with business analytics and business operations and other partners (marketing, sales and finance) to understand and translate business requirements.
� Work with architecture and development team to come up with end-to-end data solutions for implementation.
� Work with architecture team to come up with optimal data models involving large data sets.
� Work with the business analysts and engineering teams to define the technical approaches
� Document the business logic, data lineage for the solutions provisioned.
� Integrate new solutions that have been architected and developed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
� Solid understanding of Analytical and Data Warehousing systems.
� Exposure to sales, marketing and finance systems..
� Data integration involving several data sources.
� Experience with all aspects of the data modeling life cycle (business, conceptual, logical, physical)
� Experience with relational databases � Teradata (preferred), Oracle
� Experience with Hadoop, Pig, Hive, NoSQL solutions, Spring
� Strong programming/scripting experience
� Excellent communication and soft skills to work with business.
� Excellent written and verbal communication skills
