OTM seeking a Senior Software Developer � Filesystem Test for an excellent start up with cutting edge technology and venture backing. Full time/Permanent opportunity. Salary negotiable DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
**Advanced experience with programming and scripting is required. 80% of time will be spent on coding
Responsibilities:
� Analyze product requirements specifications, functional specifications and prepare a detailed functional test specification and execute to this.
� Prepare a detailed capability matrix to map capabilities to functional requirements to the test plan, for defining the acceptance criteria and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
� Independently design and document detailed performance test cases to cover all levels of test, including: performance, and scalability under load/stress.
� Effectively employ automation of vmware/KVM/HyperV API's to deploy large scale vms and related functions
� Analyze reported defects to assess severity and prioritize them for development to fix.
� Interact with software developers to tune code and track all problem reports to closure.
Requirements:
� BS or MS in Computer Science
� 5 - 8 years of QA / software development
� Experience in architecting and implementing a test strategy with strong emphasis on hypervisor automation.
� Experience in storage systems troubleshooting and integration (NAS appliance a plus).
� Experience with file system, hardware fundamentals and common protocols (NFS / SMB).
� Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
� Knowledgeable with common scripting languages (Python, Perl)
