OTM seeking a Web UI / Java Engineer for a Fortune 500 Client Company Project. Project entails working on a cutting edge, large scale framework that will allow engineering teams to create responsive web pages. Long term opportunity, pay rate negotiable DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
Required Technical Skills Competencies:
� 6+ years of extensive work experience in developing web application programs, front-end/UI using web technologies: HTML 5/4, CSS 3/2, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON and AJAX.
� Ability to apply W3C web standards to ensure best cross-browser user experience, long-term user retention and engagement.
� Extensive experience in building rich user friendly, high performance web applications using HTML5/4, CSS3/2, JQuery and in implementing cross-browser style-sheets.
� Strong knowledge in Document Object Model (DOM) functions.
� Significant experience in Responsive Web Design (RWD).
� Well versed in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) with JavaScript.
� Professional understanding of System development lifecycle (SDLC) as well as various phases such as Analysis, Design, Development and Testing.
� Designed web applications and web content utilizing various Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques employed.
� Good understanding in Backbone.js framework concepts.
� Proficient with photo editing tools like Adobe Photoshop.
� Significant experience in web development tools like Text Wrangler, Notepad++, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and Firebug.
� Great ability to write clear, maintainable, well-documented, well-commented and efficient code for web development.
� Ability to work independently and also as a team player. Ability to act as �translation point� between departments.
� Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
� Self-motivated, strong willed and a quick learner.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience developing mobile applications
- Experience with HTML 5 (Browser Polyfills), SASS
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience with working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Comfortable with source version control software (CVS, SVN).
- Experience with server-side technologies such as J2EE, Core Java, Struts2, MVC
