We are seeking an Automotive Engineer eager to learn and join a team who is developing a "ground up" android based infotainment system for a world class OEM. The person in this role will have the opportunity to gain real embedded Android experience on an automotive project, learn to integrate and debug embedded systems in a car and be exposed to the full S/W development life cycle from design to integration to final delivery for shipment.
The Automotive Solutions Engineer has 2 areas of responsibility:
Technical Support to the OEM / Tier 1
� Support: High priority defect resolution: investigate issues of diverse scope, analyze and evaluate factors, collaborate with remote engineering team to find creative solutions
� Integration: Assist OEM in delivery process from Wind River to OEM. Primary participant for onsite integration camps.
� Support OEM meetings as technical subject matter expert
� Assist project manager to prioritize support as needed
Engineering Liaison
� Primary technical interface between customer and remote engineering team
� Assist the Wind River Architects with requirements engineering tasks: gathering user requirements, inputting requirements, coordinating meetings with relevant stakeholders, and assisting with change management.
Requirements:
� Experience in the area of Automotive Entertainment industry
� 1- 3 years hands on engineering experience with hardware and/or embedded software design
� Knowledge of vehicle networking (CAN, MOST, etc..)
� Experience in a standard software development process model (CMM, CMMI, Spice, etc..)
� Product lifecycle experience preferably in a resident/application engineering role.
� Knowledge of requirements engineering tools such as Visure, Doors, MKS, etc..
� Direct customer interface experience with track record of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
� Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
� Work onsite at customer is required. Occasional travel may be required.
