We are looking for Software Engineers to design and develop framework that will drive our product to use cloud infrastructure. We are a startup funded by top-tiered venture firm. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test software to interface with IaaS clouds to provision and orchestrate cloud resources.
- Research, investigate and define new areas of technology to design and implement components of product and feature set.
- Participate in collaborative design and highly iterative development.
- Perform analysis and troubleshooting for debugging application problems.
- Help in the documentation and training of delivered software.
Requirements:
- Significant development experience in Python.
- Experience working with public clouds such as Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3 etc.), Rackspace, Azure etc is a bonus
- Extensive operating system and networking experience along with good understanding of database management applications.
- Knowledge of file system and storage system internals
- Some experience working with VM environments: KVM, Hyper-V, Xen, VMware.
- Expertise in developing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Good knowledge of internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc.) and LAMP stack.
- Expertise in software best practices and engineering methodologies including effective unit testing, code reviews, integration testing and test driven development with emphasis on quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science with relevant equivalent industry experience.
