Job Summary:
Responsibilities include publishing and maintenance of web content with strict adherence to company image and web quality code standards.
Essential Functions:
Work as part of a team that is tasked to:
•Develop and maintain web page layouts, populating CSS or CMS templates, and working with multiple Content Management Systems
•Develop, architect, maintain, support and troubleshoot NetApp's Sales extranet (aka Field Portal)
•Help manage web site content and design
•Utilize strong HTML and CSS skills to code new and updated pages
•Maintain site on a daily basis: edit, maintain, and troubleshoot code (including Javascript)
•Ensure website changes/additions are published in a timely and accurate fashion
•Perform testing, monitoring, and evaluation of site functions before sites are deployed live
•Meet or exceed web-related deliverables within standard timeframes
•Attend to critical queries and issues related to the site
•Work cooperatively within a cross-functional team of web developers and project management staff to troubleshoot and resolve open issues
•Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of relevant industry tools, protocols, methodologies, and technologies
•Work closely with production vendors on various projects, requests, and training requirements
•Manage and administer various tools used by the team
•Effectively manage time in a dynamic environment, and deliver objectives as per expectations
Essential requirements:
An ideal candidate must possess the following skill sets:
•HTML/XHTML
•CSS
•JavaScript
•XML/XSLT
•MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
•Ability to hand-code HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a must
•Skills in effective web design, usability best practices, implementation, development, content management, and information architecture
•Strong project management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
•Effective written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work independently, multi-task, be a proactive team player
•Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
•Ability to quickly respond to user requests
•Knowledge of current alternatives in available web site software
•Ability to communicate and collaborate with marketers, visual designers, multimedia producers and information architects
Knowledge of the following is an added advantage:
•Photoshop/graphic experience
•Flash
•AJAX
Education & Experience:
•A minimum of 6 years of professional experience developing large-scale web sites or corporate intranets/extranets
•A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related technical field required; or equivalent experience in Computers Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or related demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
