Senior Server Engineer/Architect
Glu has an immediate need for a Senior Server Engineer/Architect with our Server team. The successful candidate will work with our global studios and take part in developing the framework for our next generation network games.
Responsibilities:
• Work with our global studios to design, develop, implement and release the server application infrastructure to support our games.
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies and deliver high quality software releases in a timely manner.
• Work with evolving requirements and adapt feature sets based on market needs.
• Manage performance, reliability, scalability, and security aspects for our servers.
• Create and maintain documentation to support studio and ops teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in relevant field with at least 5 years experience.
• Strong Java skills; game development experience a plus.
• Experience with developing a highly scalable client/server architecture.
• Experience with relational databases (such as MySQL).
• Experience with Distributed Systems.
• Experience with Performance Analysis and Load Testing.
• Unix/Linux knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of personal responsibility, as well as work well in a team environment.
• Strong trouble shooting, diagnostic and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of virtual machines.
• Multi-platform interoperability - client devices will have vastly different capabilities, operating systems and language.
• Security

• Knowledge/experience with social games (such as Facebook).
• PhP
• C/C++
