As a Staff Algorithm Engineer, you will help research, design, develop, test, and release critical video analysis, processing, and compression algorithms for revolutionary new products. You might analyze and optimize rate control for a new High Definition transcoder. You might investigate technologies for 3-D video. You might refine and improve algorithms for video noise analysis.
You will work with other Engineering groups and with Marketing to explore new technologies and to manage their release, through documentation, discussion, software design and development, and testing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing and improving algorithms for video processing and analysis
- Video encoding and/or transcoding algorithm development experience, e.g. in the areas of mode decision and rate control
- Experience with MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, or similar video compression technologies
- Strong programming and software design experience
- Strong organizational skills and personal drive. In this position, you can grow your technical and project leadership skills
B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of additional relevant work experience is highly recommended.
