Title: SAS Programmer Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quarterly)
Experis has a need for a SAS Programmer Analyst in a client-facing role with the following skills:
- 4-7 years of SAS Programming/Analyst experience in a SAS 9 environment that is capable to lead and be the client and team liaison.
- Minimum of 4 years commercial experience working as a SAS Analyst / Programmer in a SAS 9 environment
- SAS Base Programming certification is a plus. Advanced Programming is desired
- Experience with Data Mining environments
- Significant experience in the data manipulation of hundreds of millions of records using SAS Base, SQL, SAS Connect and SAS macros
- Knowledge of SAS performance improvement techniques and features and methodology for improving the performance of SAS programs
- Experience with conducting programming and data quality checks and validation
- Experience with best practices of SAS program documentation and versioning
- Experience working with remote team members
- Able to attest self motivation and a strong ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative, project focused environment
- Recommendation from previous employers/clients is a must
- Experience with D& B data and formal Statistical background a plus.
- Comfortable with defining technical specifications to be used by other programmers, checking and validating their implementation/ work.
- Customer facing experience a must. Able to clarify business issues
- Strong with performance improvement with very large datasets in SAS
- Very good communication skills.
