We're changing the way communications look, act and feel and we'd love your expertise and enthusiasm on the team. We´ve built the world's first cloud-based interoperable video collaboration service. Our mission is to make interactive video communications as easy and pervasive as a phone call, enabling more effective collaboration at work, at home and on the road. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the media-processing backend used in our cutting-edge video service.

Our Developers are the Innovators…
Our product is the first true cloud-based interoperable video platform. Your code will be integrated into a massively parallel, multimedia transcoding system pioneered by Blue Jeans. Large streams of packetized HD video /audio are delivered across our cloud network providing a high quality, real-time video collaboration.

The ideal Developer candidate would…
• Be passionate about real-time video, streaming media services and broadcasting
• Understand the complexities of object modeling skills and programming mostly in C++ and Python
• Be well grounded with the fundamentals of systems programming in a Linux environment
• Have experience with software startups and have worked within an Agile, TDD environment
• Influence design, architecture, standards and methods working with peers globally

Some of the things you're expected to do:
• Design & Develop software for Linux/x86 platform built into a globally distributed virtualized cloud architecture
• Develop/Troubleshoot real-time Linux processes in a fault tolerant manner
• End-to-end implementation, including initial concept design, coding, unit testing and release to production
• Respond /resolve to live customer service problems

Some of the qualifications we usually expect:
• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Object Oriented programming experience using C/C++ and Python
• Experience with real-time, concurrent Linux environments with systems programming skills
• Understanding of high-performance IPC, shared memory systems and performance tuning on modern processor architectures
• Flexibility in your work schedule to connect with our team in Bangalore
• Good verbal communication skills but also through email, specs and design docs
• You are a self-starter with desire to learn/work across a variety of roles

You Get Bonus Points for….
• Background in streaming or videoconferencing
• Knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, Zookeeper, NoSQL
