Please direct your responses to: tricia@bluejeans.com

We're changing the way communications look, act and feel and we'd love your expertise and enthusiasm on the team. We´ve built the world's first cloud-based interoperable video collaboration service. Our mission is to make video communications as easy and pervasive as a phone call, enabling more effective collaboration at work, at home and on the road.

You will be joining our applications team, responsible for building and scaling the Blue Jeans Network web application, which handles everything from account management to real time audio and video communication. The ideal candidate is passionate about using the full capabilities of JavaScript/HTML/CSS in the browser to effect good design, clean code, and elegant user interactions. We are building the next revolution in collaboration and we want your ideas to be part of it.

Expertise required:
• Rock star with pure JavaScript
• HTML/CSS guru
• Browser compatibility golf pro

Ideally you can answer most of these questions:
• When is it more advantageous to use window.setInterval vs window.setTimeout?
• Why is it hard to style a native dropdown?
• What's wrong with using console.log?
• How would you serialize asynchronous operations?
• What's the difference between throttle and debounce?
• How do you vertically align an element relative to its siblings?

You are passionate about:
• Code patterns, structure, separation of concerns
• Functional and visual user interface / user experience design
• Studying user behavior / analytics
• Pushing boundaries of JS/HTML/CSS in the browser

It would be a bonus if you have experience with:
• Python, Django, Backbone.js, require.js, less
• Collaboration systems (scheduling, internationalization, customization, etc.)
• XMPP, SIP, WebRTC, WebSockets, node.js
• Doing battle with browser plugins
• Mobile applications

Why Blue Jeans is THE PLACE to be?
We have a fun and collaborative work culture. For two years running BJN is one of the Top 10 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. We live and breathe in a Hackathon environment where engineers have a passion to "get stuff done" with an Agile methodology. We have fun, are technically satisfied, eat well and love to compete in table tennis and pool. We´ve built the 1st cloud-based interoperable live video platform uniquely designed for all types of interactive video communications.

We have $49M from top venture capitalists: Accel, NEA and Norwest. Our team is composed of rock stars from a blend of industries: broadband networks, video, media and SaaS. But we don't just have a strong team: every one of us is passionate about interactive video and its impact on how the world works.
