- Automate day-to-day tasks for monitoring and supporting databases
- Documenting the processes and procedures
- Monitor performance of databases
- Backup/Restore of databases
- Replication of databases (Master/Slave, Master-Master)
- Splitting of databases
Job Requirements
Experience operational database skills in a production environment (MySQL, Oracle, etc),
In-depth understanding of MySQL internals, backup/restore operations and replication ( master-slave, master-master) is a must.
Experience with MySQL installation, upgrades, deployment and tuning required.
Basic Unix and shell scripting skills a plus
A self-starter, multi-tasker that is able to work independently but still within a remote team environment preferred.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
