This company offers a compelling cloud platform for global companies that is gaining attention from large enterprise customers. Based upon their expansion and growth we are now seeking a successful sales engineer professional with experience with IT infrastructure-type software solutions as it relates to the areas of cloud computing and/or migration, virtualization, data center automation/control, enterprise IT management, enterprise automation, governance, provisioning, network configuration, network change software, etc. for this exciting opportunity:
Position title: Sales Engineer/System Engineer
Location: Bay area, California
Position summary:
The Sales Engineer/System Engineer functions as a member of the sales team to provide pre-sales technical support during the sales cycle, including demonstrating company technology, managing software evaluations with prospective customers, etc.
Position responsibilities:
• Perform technical product demonstrations for prospective customers or users
• Assist in the sales qualification process of prospective customers and lead potential
technology evaluation projects
• Provide technical assistance to customers throughout the evaluation.
• Occasionally provide post-sales customer implementation services
• Ability to periodically provide post-sales formal customer training
Required skills:
• 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience. Recent experience with some type of IT
infrastructure software(cloud, virtualization, migration, provisioning, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Well organized, self-motivated, driven, and personable
• Familiarity with application deployment and systems management a plus
• Ability to travel throughout geographic territory as necessary
• Bachelors degree
Candidates of interest are those that may come from companies selling IT infrastructure-type software solutions in the areas of cloud computing and/or migration, virtualization, data center automation/control, enterprise IT management, enterprise automation, governance, provisioning, network configuration, network change software.
